The Financial Services Board (FSB) would like to warn the public to act with caution when dealing with Thapelo Mathibe of “Under the Radar Investments”. The entity is not authorised in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 (“FAIS Act”), to render any financial advice and intermediary services.
The FSB received information that Thapelo Mathibe resides in Ga-Rankuwa, he provides information that his company teaches people how to trade on the stock market and also trades on their behalf. He does not pay people their returns. He also promises people that his company is registered with the Financial Services Board (FSB), and he is busy moving into new offices. It is the FSB’s view that the abovementioned entity is misleading the public that it has an FSB license.
The FSB again reminds consumers who wish to conduct financial services with an institution or person to check beforehand with the FSB on either the toll free number (0800 110 443) or on the website www.fsb.co.za as to whether or not such institution or person is authorised to render financial services.
