FSCA warns the public against Mr Keita Ahmed

December 4, 2018

The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) warns the public to act with caution when dealing with Mr Keita Ahmed.

With the information at the Regulator’s disposal, Mr Keita Ahmed claims to be a representative of the FSCA and coerces people to “redeem funds” believed to be in custody of the FSCA. The FSCA is a financial services regulator mandated to provide oversight over the conduct of all licenced financial services providers and therefore does not have or hold any “redeemable funds”. The abovementioned individual is misleading the public.

The FSCA again reminds consumers who wish to conduct financial services with an institution or person to check beforehand with the FSCA on either the toll free number (0800 203 722) or on the website www.fsca.co.za as to whether or not such institution or person is authorised to render financial services.
