FSCA requests feedback on Section 37c Of The Pension Funds Act

The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (“FSCA”) has asked Batseta, the Pension Lawyers Association of South Africa and the Institute of Retirement Funds Africa to work together to provide the FSCA with:

 

  • a brief on the practical challenges of section 37C; and

  • how it can be potentially reviewed/revised to make it easier to implement, while also protecting the interest of members and beneficiaries.


We would like your feedback


We would like you, our members, to participate in this project please. Please concentrate not just on the difficulties and problems but potential solutions as well, including any legislative amendments that may be required, increase in compliance costs for fund and possible transitional arrangements.


How to submit your feedback

 

  1. The turnaround times are quite short, so please let us have your feedback in writing on or before 30 August 2019.

  2. Please use the comments template document attached to provide your feedback.

  3. Please provide your feedback in WORD format.

  4. Please email your feedback to Lebohang Mafereka: lebohang@batseta.org.za

  5. If you are a member of more than one of the industries bodies mentioned above you only need to submit your feedback once as it will be collated and shared within the industry bodies.
