ALT Capital Partners is the investment manager of REimagine Social Impact Retail Fund 1. ALT was incorporated in 2018 and REimagine incorporated in November 2022 as a private equity real estate fund with R1.3 billion of equity commitments and R585m of commitment backed facilities.
The mandate of the Fund is to invest in green field and income producing convenience retail shopping centres in rural and township areas of South Africa. ALT has executed 13 transactions for just under R1 billion since incorporation of the Fund to date and has a presence in 6 out of the 9 provinces in South Africa.
Both the Fund and the Manager are level 1 rated and Directors of the company are 57% female and 85.7% African. The team is 50% female and 100% African.

ALT Capital Partners has very strong transformation credentials with the company being 94.2% black owned and 44.5% black female owned. 57% of the Directors are female and 43% are black females. 50% of staff is female and 100% of staff is African.
