Daryl van Zyl, Chief Operating Officer and Marco Cianfanelli, Head of Operations at M&G Investments

M&G Investments Southern Africa is excited to announce the appointment of Marco Cianfanelli as the new Head of Operations, effective May 1, 2024.

In his role, Marco will be responsible for leading M&G’s Operations team, overseeing various aspects such as retail client services and operations, institutional operations, and service provider management.

With a remarkable background, Marco joins M&G from Sygnia, where he held the position of Head of Operations for the Institutional business starting in 2020. Prior to this, Marco garnered 22 years of experience at Alexander Forbes Investments, serving in senior operations roles like Head of Operations Due Diligence and Head of Investment Operations, among other management roles throughout the business.

Marco reports to Daryl van Zyl, Chief Operating Officer at M&G Investments. Daryl commented, “We are thrilled to welcome Marco to head up our operations team. His extensive expertise and skills will be invaluable in enhancing our back-office operations and ensuring continuity of our top-notch client service.

This appointment reinforces our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional service and yielding positive outcomes for our clients.”

Marco’s educational background includes a BCom from the University of South Africa and completion of the esteemed Global Executive Development Programme (GEDP) with GIBS Business School.
